November's pet of the month

This beauty's name is Lorna who is a Chocolate lab that is 2 yrs old, up to date on her shots de-wormed,house trained.  Lorna is very playful and just loves to play with her foster moms boxer.  So she gets along with other dogs.  Now for cats, at the vets office where there are cats loose, the vet showed her a kitten and she didn't do anything.  Lorna rides well in the car but does need work on a leash.  Lorna came to us after she had one of her back legs removed and needed cooperation time.  According to the vet either she was born with a dead limb or she had an accident when she was a pup which caused the limb to be of no use.  Lorna was just dragging that limb around.  But don't let that limb being gone fool you.  She has a lot of energy and can run just as good as any other dog.  She likes to be inside as well as outside but does sleep inside.  If you would like Lorna as a companion and want to give her a loving forever home, please fill out our dog adoption application and she can go home with you.  Applications need to be approved first.  We suggest that she have another dog as a companion and a fenced in yard.

August pet of the month

This little girls name is Annabelle who is a 7 yr old Chihuahua that his house trained, up to date on her shots and spayed.  She is a little shy but warms up quickly and is just very sweet.  If you would like Annabelle as a companion and want to give her a loving forever home, please fill out our dog application and she can go home with you.  Applications approved of course.

July's pet of the month

This is Taz.  He is a 3 year old, neutered male Chihuahua mix.  He is full of spunk and love.  This peppy little guy loves to play with toys and other dogs.  He is very cuddly with people and wants to sit in your lap and be loved on more than anything.  He is curious of cats but will not hurt them.  He barks when strangers arrive, but once he knows they are allowed in, he will consent.  He was picked up as a stray and has not been treated kindly in his years prior to coming to YVPR so he is afraid of new people.  Once he knows you are going to be nice to him, he warms right up and will love anyone who lets him.  He is house trained.  His foster family is working on teaching him not to be afraid of a leash (he prefers to just be carried)    :)   Taz is up to date on shots and ready for a loving home.  If you would like Taz as a companion and want to give him a loving forever home, please fill out our dog adoption application and he can go home with you.
